On September 8th 2023 the application period for this year’s DNFI Award will end. The first entries have already been received. Immediately after the closing date the award jury will in step #3 begin its work as planned. Information about the process, required documents and templates can be found on the DNFI website (see links below).
The 2022 winners Dr. Frank Hermanutz and Dr. Tanja Schneck from the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf, have received the DNFI Innovation in Natural Fibres Award 2022 for their work “PureCell – Natural fiber-reinforced composites based on pure cellulose”.
Elke Hortmeyer, DNFI Chair, commented:
“As in previous years, we look forward to receiving innovative entries from all over the world. The growing demand for natural fibres is a good sign for the whole production chain. The award is a wonderful tool to strengthen all sustainable fibres and opens the way to new products, processes and services.”

A maximum of two extra pages (for a total of three pages) of information and three photographs/graphs/tables may be included with this submission.
